Marsett Barn is approximately 7 miles from Low Mill and about a 15 minute drive.
The Barn is much more a back-to-nature experience than that at Low Mill. It is an old barn in an old landscape - built before we were born and it will still be there when we are gone. It has been carefully and sympathetically restored to retain its special place in this Dales' setting. People visiting the barn will look after themselves and be at harmony with the environment; they will need to set out their own rules for behaviour and to remember that they are temporary custodians of this unique facility. Accommodation: The Barn has two floors with living areas downstairs and sleeping areas upstairs. It would be possible to sleep and cater for up to twenty people. Downstairs there is a fully fitted kitchen, a drying area and a toilet for people with disabilities. Upstairs there are two toilets with washbasins and two showers. The accommodation is basic but the Barn has been developed in sympathy with its surroundings and is full of character and charm. You can see the virtual tour of the inside of Marsett Barn in our virtual tours section. Living at the Barn: Sleeping arrangements are at the group's discretion. There are two separate sleeping areas with sleeping platforms. Groups need to bring their own sleeping bags. There is an entrance area with living and dining areas downstairs. It is expected that the groups respect the interior of the barn and remove outdoor footwear and clothing before entering the living space. There is no refuse collection at the Barn and groups must take their rubbish away with them. Similarly, there is no cleaning service and groups must leave the barn the way they would wish to find it, clean, tidy and in harmony with its surroundings. £9 per person per night - minimum charge of £36 per night
